 About St Teath

St Teath is situated in North Cornwall between the B3314 coast road and the A39, centered around the beautiful church dedicated to St Tetha, daughter of King Brychan.
Although the population is only about 2000 people, there
is a strong community spirit.
The village has a fine Inn (The White Hart), Post Office, two general stores and a butcher's shop. As well as the White Hart there are several establishments providing Bed & Breakfast. Being located close to the coastal villages of Port Isaac and Tintagel, and also near the infamous Bodmin Moor, it makes an ideal base from which to tour North Cornwall. There are plenty of interesting walks starting from the village, many leading to the superb peaceful backwoods of the Allen Valley. Flora and Fauna abound in this area.

The village of St Teath lies on the western slopes of the River Allen to the southwest of Camelford (3 miles), north-east of the market town of Wadebridge(7 miles) and due south of the world famous
Delabole Slate Quarry. The village forms
part of Cornish sporting legend in that the first record of cricket played in Cornwall was a single-wicket championship played between gentleman
farmers on
July 3rd 1781 in a field behind the village inn.
